I almost want to start this post off with ‘raindrop, drop top’ because this outfit was channelling all sorts of bad and boujee. Not gonna annoy you with more Migos references though…I’m sure that’s all you’ve been seeing and hearing since December.

But look at this huge choker, even huger fur coat (servin’ them pimp looks) and these slick as hell boots. Migos and Lil Uzi would make an appropriate soundtrack for this post. Featuring The Hood Lab, LAMODA and Missguided…

The tee, that I’m styling as a dress, is from The Hood Lab – a Manchester based collective whose clothing is inspired by a mix of British and American culture. They have a range of products, from tees, jumpers and hoodies to joggers, socks and stickers – all with some really cool designs, so definitely check them out!

My BMW tee set the colour scheme for the rest of my outfit, giving me an excuse to wear this dramatic fur coat, courtesy of Missguided. If only you knew how much I love this coat. A few reviewers complained that the coat was too big but, to be honest, that’s what got my heart racing. It just screams Joanne the Scammer and honestly, truly it may just be my fave coat ever! In my last post about AW 16/17 trends, I mentioned how much we’re all loving statement puffas and the like right now. This faux fur coat couldn’t make much more of a statement, with its bubble panel detailing and vibrant navy colour. I’m tellin’ you, it’s putting the OOOUUU in boujee, no Young M.A.

LAMODA, that sassy brand I’ve been loving since forever, were nice enough to send me some cute accessories to style. One of which is this thick luxe choker. I like my chokers anything but understated, so this wide silver one is perfect for me. Be prepared to see it crop up in future posts, because it’s one of those versatile pieces that’ll look great with pretty much anything!

I also got this grey shoulder bag, which compliments the ‘fit perfectly as it’s large but the neutral colour doesn’t make it overwhelming. The bag actually comes with a mini clutch that you can keep inside the larger one (to keep the random shit we throw inside organised and secure), or take out to use on its own. This is why I love LAMODA bags because not only do they have a wide range of styles and designs, they’re practical as well as cute. Two bags for the price of one? It’s just bonus after bonus.

Would the outfit be complete without a pair of fitted ankle boots? These black LAMODA beauties are in a faux suede material – a twist on the usual lycra and neoprene. I wasn’t sure that they would suit me but I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived! They look so good styled with t-shirt and jumper dresses, but would look equally good worn with some tight jeans. What I love about these boots are that they could be rocked almost all year round, so there’s no excuse not getting any wear out of them. They’re super easy to walk in too, a must considering that falling or tripping would probably ruin your ankles as well as the bad and boujee set-up we’ve got going on.
