I’ve never really been a huge fan of animal prints – like, leopard skin works for some, but you can leave me out. Don’t get me wrong, it can look great on the right items but for the most part, it makes me think of Eastenders‘ Bianca…
As for snakeskin, I find it more wearable but I can’t say that I’ve bought any major printed items other than the odd clutch or some heels.
Until now, obviously. Missguided came through with this stunning snakeskin biker jacket, and my mind started racing with all the things I could dress it up and down with. I’ll definitely be styling this jacket with a variety of different looks in the future, but this time, I’m servin’ snakeskin in a kind of casual way. Plain vest, mom jeans, choker and platform boots – perfect for a quick meal with the girls or a laidback date.
As I was browsing for something to wear to the Missguided Training Day, I found this beauty of a biker. My heart? Captured completely. Bikers, bombers and big faux furs are my top three favourite kinds of outerwear ever. I thought this jacket would be a great statement piece that I could pair with anything, just chucking on a pair of heels or trainers for either a day or evening look. So far, I’ve worn it all ways: casual, smart casj and also on a night out. It’s actually a very versatile lil’ jacket that I hope to be incorporating in more looks on the blog.
I opted for this cute high neck vest that features drop armholes. Everyone looks a bit of side boob, after all, but you can also wear a pretty mesh bra underneath and still look great.
I wanted to keep the outfit quite light so I chose to wear these ripped mom jeans in stonewash blue. Wearing these with the biker and platforms made me feel a bit bad ass, I can’t lie. I love how distressed the jeans are but I’m thinking of taking it further and adding some more rips to the back, and cutting off the very bottoms. Just call me DIY Distress Queen.
This ALDO choker and black platform boots finish the ‘fit off. Depending on your motive for the day or night, you can swap the platforms for some black trainers or barely there’s.
Would you wear a snakeskin jacket?
